WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
This course is for anyone who wants to learn and gain an understanding on concepts of:
• Neurocognitive training methods and techniques as it applies within sport, athletic training, and rehabilitation
• Cognition and how it is applied in performance training
• Creating and apply customized neuro-training protocols utilizing FITLIGHT® as the quantifiable visual stimuli and performance enhancement tool
This includes, but is not limited to coaches, personal trainers, physical therapists, sports scientist, occupational therapists, sports vision therapists, optometrists, ophthalmologists, medical practitioners, or anyone who is interested in gaining an understanding how to strengthen the brain-body connection.
COURSE SYLLABUS
Module 1: The Anatomy of FITLIGHT®
This module provides an overview of the FITLIGHT® fundamentals: What is FITLIGHT®? How do I use it? Users will gain a foundation for understanding and utilizing the FITLIGHTS® to their maximum ability within cognitive training.
Module 2: Brain lobes and structure
This module covers the surface anatomy of the human brain, its internal structure, and the overall organization of sensory and motor systems in the brainstem and spinal cord.
Module 3: Mental components of cognition
This module will teach the four key areas of cognition and how they apply in the physical setting. You will learn how cognition can be tested and trained using FITLIGHT® while understanding how to apply it to different population groups.
Module 4: Vision
This module discusses the anatomy of the visual system and how it relates to the sport-specific environment. You will learn the tools and tactics needed to create a visual training program for population groups and go into depth with understanding the sports vision theory.
Module 5: Programming
This module combines all the learnings into one lesson where you will experience real-life client cases and observe how to create a cognitive training program for the specific instances. You will learn how to coordinate the mental components of cognition to create an enhanced program utilizing FITLIGHT®.

This course is for anyone who is looking to better understand the relationship between the brain and the body, the importance of cognition and how to use FITLIGHT® as a tool to enhance cognitive training. This includes, but is not limited to coaches, personal trainers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, optometrists, ophthalmologists, medical practicioners, or anyone who is interested in applications of neuroscience to sports, training and rehabilitation.
This course is self-paced learning, and consists of five modules. There is approximately 4 hours of media/video content in total for review.
Each module is followed by an assessment, consisting of 10 multiple choice questions, for a total of 50 questions in all.
